Who does not know this “statement” and people walking around like ´living sandwiches´ (as shown above)?
Yes, we are living in the End Times, and yes, the second coming of Christ will happen soon.
But: no, earth is not going to be destroyed, and no: we won´t be killed and exterminated - not all people.
There are many so called ´doomsday calculators´ who try to deceive people. Especially Jehovas Witnesses come up every now and then predicting “The World will end Friday, 13th May in the year xxxx!”
But Jesus once said:
´Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.´
Matthew 24:42
There is no certain date in scripture predicting “The End of the World” but there are many signs and circumstances which have to be fulfilled. Many prophecies and predictions of the Bible became a reality already but there are still some events that have not happened yet:
- the emerging of the antichrist,
- the rebuild of the Temple in Jerusalem,
- the Gog/Magog war and Armageddon
etc.
Those people predicting the End of The World are not very helpful to Christian Faith because they reduce Jesus Christ to a role he doesn´t deserve in the least. Jesus Christ is not the destroyer in the first place but the judge and the redeemer of mankind.
